About the Role

The Program Purchasing Leader will be responsible for leading strategic and tactical purchasing activities for Travel & Transport Programs across regions at Idemia.

This role will require the ability to navigate a high-tech environment, working with expert teams in Idemia and suppliers, and collaborating with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Projects/Programs strategy, objectives, and needs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between procurement activities and project objectives.
  • Support the Pre-Sales team in quotations through costing and negotiate back-to-back terms.
  • Develop or support category strategies that enhance innovation and quality, reduce costs, and improve service to internal stakeholders.
  • Source suppliers and work with internal customers on supplier selection.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to advise on the make/buy strategy (TCO approach).
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth contract implementation, identify further business opportunities, and anticipate risks.
  • Challenge needs, conduct RFI/RFQ, negotiate cost-effective agreements with suppliers that result in delivering the agreed budget and providing a competitive advantage for Idemia.
  • Contribute to the Design To Cost activity and cooperate with R&D to realize supplier-enabled innovation.
  • Negotiate and ensure the effective execution of contracts.

Requirements

This role requires a strong understanding of procurement strategies, category management, and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading procurement teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
