Job Summary

As a Senior Program Manager at NXP Semiconductors, you will be responsible for leading large multi-disciplinary engineering teams through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. You will engage the R&D team to achieve on-time delivery while maintaining world-class levels of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a cross-functional team in completing projects by a set of deadlines to achieve business objectives.
  • Partnering with Business Manager, Product Definer, and R&D engineer lead/manager.
  • Supporting the Technical Marketing organization in the Product concept & definition phases internally or in relation to our customers.
  • Establishing & finalizing the project charter with the customer and the development team before the transition to execution.
  • Planning the different steps of the project developments: Providing a Work Breakdown Structure Plan covering architecture & system aspects, hardware and software tools, validation, delivery, and support to customers/partners.
  • Analyzing change impact.
  • Resources and Staffing planning: Collaborating with all functional groups to profile and guarantee the required resources for each phase of the program/project development.
  • Risk Management and Communication: Coordinating risks identification, clear communication to stakeholders on project status and key issues, maintaining the program up to date according to the required timelines through regular communication among all involved stakeholders in respect to the milestones, objectives, and overall costs.
  • Critical Path Monitoring: Critical path evaluation and problem-solving.
  • Cost Management: Budget planning and control on budget.
  • Predictive project steering: identifying problems before they arise and taking actions - Provide solution options.
  • Gatekeeping: deliverables to ensure clean gates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electronics or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Project/Program Management and overall relevant experience in Semiconductor Industry – specifically New Product Development/Introduction.
  • Understanding of design/validation of integrated circuits required.
  • Good Program Management skills and experience in managing complex technical projects - PMI/PMP certification desirable but not mandatory.
  • ISO26262, CMMI level 3 knowledge.
  • Critical thinking skills and proficient in risk management.
  • Demonstrated real leadership capabilities, excellent communication & coordination skills in a matrix organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with various teams within and across the divisions to effectively drive issue resolution and alignment across functions.
  • Highly agile in achieving success within a constantly evolving environment.
  • Demonstrate high accountability, rigor, capable of motivating others, sustaining high energy and a positive attitude even in the face of challenges.
  • The international context of the projects requires fluent English and the ability to travel frequently.
  • Automotive knowledge would be an asset.
