Position Overview
The Engineering Division in Paris is seeking a Project Information Management Lead to enhance its Information Management team.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Project Information Management function by collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders and implementing data management strategies on large-scale projects globally.
The Project Information Management Lead will oversee all activities and deliverables associated with the structuring and management of project technical data:
- Establishing guidelines for data structuring
- Developing the Engineering data warehouse and assisting project and engineering teams in data structuring
- Gathering, verifying, consolidating, and transferring data to the Construction team and Client
Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, the Project Information Management Lead will manage a team of Methods and Data Engineers and Data Coordinators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for all Information Management matters related to the Project, liaising with Project, Partners, and Client
- Formulate and uphold the Project Information Management strategy and Information Management plan, aligning with Technip Energies standards and the requirements of Construction and Client (data structuring, workflows, collection, control, consolidation, and transfer...)
- Clarify the equipment and material identification and numbering procedures with the Client, including data transfer requirements
- Prepare and issue deliverables concerning data management (Information Management Plan, Data Control Procedure, Suppliers Data Requirements Specification...)
- Collaborate with the Methods and Tools team to establish the Engineering Data Warehouse and support engineering disciplines in utilizing its various modules
- Create and maintain a Master Tag Register that lists project components and their attributes: identify tag sources and establish processes for data collection and control, along with related KPIs (conformity, consistency, completeness).
- Ensure Information Management requirements are included in Supplier requisitions during inquiries.
- Ensure these requirements are understood and fulfilled in coordination with Requisition Leads.
- Work alongside engineering disciplines to validate data before consolidation in the Engineering data warehouse.
- Extract various deliverables from the Engineering Data Warehouse, including data from Partners and Suppliers, to facilitate data transfer to Construction and Client.
- Provide regular reports to Project management and Client.
Candidate Profile:
- Preferred Master's Degree with over 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with Engineering work processes, ideally in Oil & Gas
- Understanding of data management processes and systems
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Strong skills in Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus
- Experience with databases (Access, Aveva Engineering, or similar)
Additional Information:
- Position based in Paris, France.
- Remote work available (up to 10 days per month)
- Occasional business travel may be required.
