About the Role
The Engineering Division in Paris is seeking a Project Information Management Lead to enhance its Information Management team.
This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the Project Information Management function by collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders and implementing data management strategies on large-scale projects globally.
The Project Information Management Lead will oversee all activities and deliverables associated with the structuring and management of project technical data, including:
- Establishing guidelines for data structuring
- Setting up the Engineering data repository and assisting project and engineering teams in organizing their data
- Gathering, verifying, consolidating, and transferring this data to the Construction team and Client
The Project Information Management Lead will report to the Project Engineering Manager and supervise a team of Methods and Data Engineers and Data Coordinators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for all Information Management-related matters on the project, engaging with Project teams, Partners, and Clients
- Develop and uphold the Project Information Management strategy and Information Management plan, in line with Technip Energies standards and the requirements of Construction and Clients (data structuring, workflows, collection, control, consolidation, and transfer...)
- Clarify equipment and material identification and numbering procedures with Clients, as well as data transfer requirements
- Prepare and deliver documents related to data management (Information Management Plan, Data Control Procedure, Suppliers Data Requirements Specification...)
- Collaborate with the Methods and Tools team to establish the Engineering Data Repository and support engineering disciplines in utilizing various modules
- Create and maintain a Master Tag Register detailing project components and their attributes: identify tag sources and establish processes for data collection and control, including relevant KPIs (conformity, consistency, completeness).
- Ensure Information Management requirements are included in requisitions sent to Suppliers during inquiries.
- Coordinate with Requisition Leads to ensure these requirements are understood and fulfilled.
- Work alongside engineering disciplines to validate data prior to consolidation in the Engineering data repository.
- Extract deliverables from the Engineering Data Repository, including data from Partners and Suppliers, to facilitate data transfer to Construction and Clients.
- Provide regular updates to Project management and Clients.
About You:
- Master's Degree preferred, with over 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with Engineering work processes, ideally in Oil & Gas
- Understanding of data management processes and systems
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Proficient in Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus
- Experience with databases (Access, Aveva Engineering, or others)
Position Details:
- Position based in Paris, France.
- Remote work available (up to 10 days per month)
- Occasional business travel may be required.
