About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Supervisor to lead our security team and ensure the safety and security of our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a chain of command and responsibility, ensuring that all security personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Perform duties according to the Duty Roster prepared by the Security Manager, ensuring that all security protocols are followed.
- Adopt a "service-oriented" approach in discharging duties, promoting a harmonious working relationship between security personnel and hotel staff.
- Be held accountable for the overall performance of on-duty security personnel and all security-related matters.
- Exercise flexibility to maintain a balance between effectiveness and unobstructiveness, ensuring that security protocols are followed while minimizing disruptions to hotel operations.
- Act as a host of the hotel, welcoming guests and bidding farewell to departing guests, promoting a positive image of the hotel.
- Lead guests whenever possible, providing assistance and guidance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.
- Inform and sell hotel facilities to visitors, promoting the hotel's services and amenities.
- Inspect and brief security personnel before deployment, ensuring that they are neat and tidy in appearance.
- Enforce discipline and report, warn, or counsel on incidents of indiscipline observed, ensuring that security personnel adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular checks on security personnel to ensure that they are alert and discharging their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct investigations and prepare reports on incidents that occur within the hotel, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to prevent future incidents.
- Protect and preserve the integrity of the Department, ensuring that all security personnel adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
- Surveillance of hotel staff, ensuring that they abide by the House Rules and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Cultivate informers to obtain information of security interest, ensuring that the hotel remains a safe and secure environment.
- Keep peace and order within the premises of the hotel, dealing with criminals, trespassers, or difficult characters.
- Participate in special functions or operations conducted or organized by the hotel, ensuring that security protocols are followed.
- Keep the Security Manager constantly posted on all matters of security interest affecting the hotel and the Department.
- Take charge and inspect all equipment to ensure that they are in working order and that all cameras are correctly focused.
- Conduct regular and periodical checks on equipment, taking immediate follow-up action to rectify faults, damage, etc.
- Routine day-to-day checks of items to ensure that they are properly maintained, issued, and accounted for.
- Prepare meal rosters for individual shifts.
- Reflect all activities involving the Department in the Daily Security Report.
- Attend briefing sessions and approval courses conducted by the Hotel Training Department.
- Attend meetings and in-service training conducted by the Department, ensuring that all security personnel are up-to-date with the latest security protocols and procedures.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel with at least 1 year at a supervisory role.
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus.
