Research Context and Objectives

Hyperbolic metamaterials are artificially engineered anisotropic materials with unique properties, such as negative refraction and backward wave propagation. The goal of this research is to investigate the mathematical justification of hyperbolic metamaterial models and their applications in various fields.

Main Activities

The research will focus on the well-posedness of boundary-value problems for the Klein-Gordon equation in unbounded domains, including hyperbolic metamaterial waveguides and transmission problems. The candidate will develop numerical analysis skills and programming expertise in MATLAB or C++.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate has a strong background in numerical analysis, solid complex analysis skills, and some knowledge of programming. The research team will provide access to vocational training and professional equipment.
