About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and productive postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Institut Curie, Paris, France. Our research focuses on uncovering the factors and mechanisms that allow the zebrafish heart to naturally recover and regenerate from an injury.
The Project
Our recent results have identified a number of genes that are critical for regeneration to continue. In this project, we will examine whether the identified genes and signaling pathways are also important at the protein level using mass spectrometry. Confirmed candidates will be further examined genetically using gain- and loss-of-function studies.
Requirements
- PhD in biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related areas
- Fresh PhD graduates or with up to 3 years of postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in generating proteomic datasets using mass spectrometry
- Experience in proximity labeling approaches such as BioID or TurboID (highly desirable)
- Proficient in molecular biology skills such as cloning, PCR, and western blot
- Proficient in analyzing proteomic datasets
- Desirable but not necessary: experience in working with primary tissue, animal work, or zebrafish handling
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently, organize, and manage tasks
- Ability to effectively communicate in writing, oral presentations, and supervising students
- Highly motivated, curious, and enthusiastic to work in a collaborative team
Contract Information
- Type of contract: Fixed-term contract (COD)
- Duration: 18 months (renewable contract up to 3 years)
- Working time: full time
- Remuneration: according to the current grids
- Benefits: Collective catering, reimbursement of transportation fees up to 70%, supplementary health insurance
