CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Consultancy Country Director to lead and grow our local Building Consultancy team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for taking ownership of the team, products, and business operations in their country, driving growth and profitability. They will be responsible for growing the local P&L and developing departmental goals and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Take ownership of the team, products, and business operations in your country, driving growth and profitability.
- Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
- Work closely with the European and Global CBRE Building Consultancy teams in sales and pan-European instructions, and sharing and developing best practice.
- Work closely with your country's Build (project management) and Design manager in country to understand and integrate business operations in the country, contributing to the ongoing success of the team.
- Building and fostering relationships with internal teams such as Capital Markets, Valuations, and Property Management, to facilitate seamless collaboration and achieve shared objectives.
- Actively engage with external local clients, identifying new business opportunities and forging strong partnerships to expand our client base.
- Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Guide team on implementing company initiatives and policies.
- Oversee and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments' results within a function.
- You will need to be diligent and proactive with the ability to prioritize and act on your own initiative.
- Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, in English and your local language.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
