As a key member of the data team, you will engage in cross-departmental collaboration to drive data-informed decisions at Fabulous, impacting various business units such as Product Growth, User Acquisition, and Finance.

The team focuses on three primary data domains:



Data Project Management:
We prioritize and refine requests based on business requirements, ensuring clear communication and a robust feedback loop with all stakeholders involved, including data and business representatives.

Applied Analytics & Data Science:
You will explore data and define agile analytical strategies, ensuring that all new initiatives incorporate a strong Data Science element during their initial MVP phase.

Analytics Engineering:
Your role will involve data modeling and transformation processes to construct, maintain, and scale our analytics pipelines. Emphasis will be placed on testing and data observability, as well as creating an architecture that effectively manages technical debt.

All team members are expected to excel in at least two of these areas to contribute meaningfully and independently.

We adopt an agile methodology, breaking larger projects into manageable iterations, typically lasting no longer than three weeks, to maximize impact.

Utilizing a modern cloud-based data stack (Fivetran, BigQuery, dbt, Amplitude, Metabase, Looker Studio), we seek to enhance our team with a skilled Senior Analytics Engineer who can seamlessly integrate into our agile environment and deliver value promptly.

This position is crucial for the ongoing success of the data science team. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Data & Analytics on projects aimed at enhancing and maintaining our data models and analytics pipelines.

The goal of these projects is to empower data analysts and scientists to generate greater business impact through their collaborative efforts with various business teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing effectively to our codebase by building, testing, reviewing, and maintaining robust analytics pipelines using SQL and dbt.
  • Implementing solid testing methodologies to enhance data observability.
  • Gradually taking ownership of specific aspects of the team's responsibilities, influencing the evolution of analytics project architecture, and fostering the continuous growth of the team.
  • Providing guidance to data analysts and scientists to improve their engineering capabilities.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data or Analytics Engineering.
  • Proficient hands-on skills in Data Modeling.
  • Strong SQL expertise, preferably with experience in dbt or similar SQL-based data modeling tools.
  • Prior experience with modern data stack tools and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with tools utilized in our data stack (e.g., Amplitude, dbt, BigQuery, Metabase).
  • Experience in an agile startup setting.
