Your Role

As part of the electronics division, you will be instrumental in developing an orbital radar from its initial concept to its qualification for space. Utilizing your RF expertise, you will design the RF subsystem and collaborate with external contractors and suppliers. As a seasoned electronics engineer, you will also assist the team in various development tasks.

Initial Tasks
  • Familiarizing yourself with the radar architecture and previous advancements.
  • Establishing a preliminary radiofrequency architecture that aligns with mission specifications.
  • Simulating and crafting the initial radio frequency chains.
Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering a space radar system to enable target acquisition and rendezvous.
  • Outlining the development and qualification pathway for all radar subsystems.
  • Leading the team through the associated development and validation stages.
  • Executing the implementation and testing of radiofrequency circuits and mixed-signal boards.
  • Coordinating with the program management team to provide updates and report on mission progress.
  • Identifying and selecting suitable components while fostering relationships with suppliers.
  • Contributing to the electronics processes and tools to uphold high engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with demonstrated expertise in radiofrequency and electronic design.
  • Preferred background in the Defense/Aerospace sector (e.g., MBDA, Thales, Dassault, Safran, etc.).
  • Proficiency in radiofrequency simulation and design tools (ADS or Ansys).
  • Understanding of antenna parameters, RF front-end architecture, and radar design.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Expertise in electronic board design (Altium Designer) and circuit simulation (Spice).
  • Knowledge of space engineering and radiation effects is advantageous.
  • As our team is international, proficiency in technical English is essential; fluency in French is a plus.
