Your Role: Orbital Radar Design Engineer

As an Orbital Radar Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of our next-generation radar systems. You will be responsible for driving the conception and implementation of these critical components from initial concept to space qualification.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop a space-qualified radar system capable of target acquisition and rendezvous operations.
  • Define and execute the development roadmap for all radar subsystems, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards.
  • Lead the team through the design, validation, and testing phases of the radar system, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Implement and test radiofrequency circuits and mixed-signal boards, leveraging your expertise in RF design and simulation tools.
  • Collaborate with program management to provide regular updates on project progress and key milestones.
  • Source and select appropriate components, building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal performance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our electronics processes and tools, fostering a culture of excellence within the engineering team.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of proven experience in radiofrequency and electronic design, with a strong background in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Expertise in RF simulation and design tools such as ADS or Ansys.
  • In-depth knowledge of antenna parameters, RF front-end architecture, and radar design principles.
  • Understanding of signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements.
  • Proficiency in electronic board design using Altium Designer and circuit simulation tools like Spice.
  • Familiarity with space engineering principles and the effects of radiation on electronic systems is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in French is highly desirable.
