Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our engineering team at T.D. Williamson. As a key member of our team, you will apply sound engineering principles to develop, customize, and sustain TDW products and services solutions for customer applications.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing products and improving existing technologies, considering manufacturability, costs, and quality expectations.
- Verifying and applying customer/input requirements to engineering/design activity/output.
- Performing and documenting engineering activities, including concepts, product design or improvements, calculation notes, design activities, prototypes, CE documentation, manuals, failure analysis, corrective actions, and obsolescence.
- Leading CAD design activities for components, assemblies, and products, including 3D models and drawings.
- Providing technical support and communications to internal departments and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers.
- Reporting progress, difficulties, risks, and needs to the Engineering Manager.
- Following established processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting internal and external product presentations.
- Maintaining the ERP database, creating and updating product part numbers.
- Performing and leading validation test activities and creating test reports.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Design.
- 5 years' experience in an engineering environment required.
- Significant experience in engineering problem-solving.
- Proficient in CAD software for 3D models and drawings (Solidworks preferred).
- Experience in plastics parts manufacturing and machining would be preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in CAD software for 3D models and drawings (Solidworks preferred).
- Experience in plastics parts manufacturing and machining would be preferred.
- Microsoft Office Pack professional skills.
- Knowledge of PLM software (Team center, Intralink, Solidworks PLM).
- Machine design experience preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
- Capacity and willingness to work in an international environment.
- Ready to accept business trips (15%).
