Position Overview: As a pivotal member of the Legal Department, you will assume a comprehensive and strategic role, ensuring that the Business and Marketing teams operate within a secure legal framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a business partner, providing guidance and support to the Business and Marketing teams on evolving business models and offerings, acting as their primary contact.
- Become the Business and Marketing expert within the Legal Department, assisting fellow lawyers with inquiries related to these areas.
- Design risk-managed user experiences and play a strategic role in ensuring that our contract templates, business models, offers, communications, and marketing campaigns comply with applicable regulations.
- Foster trust among prospects, clients, and users by ensuring compliance with personal data processing regulations and safeguarding their rights.
- Establish a contract performance strategy, utilizing innovative approaches such as Legal Design to translate complex legal terminology into clear business language.
- Analyze, negotiate, draft, and review contracts with suppliers and partners.
- Monitor relevant laws, regulations, and case law in the technology, digital, and SaaS sectors applicable in France, Germany, and Italy, with support from local law firms, and prepare notes on these regulations.
- Develop and disseminate practical materials, and conduct training sessions on contract negotiation, contractual processes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Business Law from a French institution.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector, particularly within SaaS companies.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in contract and business law, with a reputation for strong negotiation skills.
- Experience collaborating closely with Business and Marketing teams.
- Fluency in French and English is essential; proficiency in German or Italian is advantageous as we expand internationally.
