About the RoleWe are seeking a Head of Data Engineering to lead our data strategy and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering our data engineering, data governance, and data science roadmap.
You will work closely with department heads to empower our customers and drive business decisions. Your expertise will help us stay at the cutting edge of data capabilities, ensuring we deliver high-quality insights and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy Development: Craft and own the data engineering, data science, and data governance roadmap, aligning high-priority projects with cross-functional partners.
- Team Management: Lead a team of engineers and analysts, fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders to execute the strategy effectively.
- Data Governance: Implement and take forward our data governance strategy, ensuring the security and integrity of our data.
- Strategic Planning: Develop short and long-term strategies to enhance revenue growth and preserve platform value.
- Operational Excellence: Spearhead the enhancement of operational tooling strategies and vendor relationships to deliver impactful insights.
- Collaboration: Partner with product, operations, and revenue teams to help analysts develop strategies aimed at improving user experience and marketplace performance.
We are looking for a proven leader with a strong track record in data management, data engineering, and data science. You should have experience with cloud data platforms, ML model frameworks, and data governance frameworks. Excellent communication skills and a bias toward action are essential.
Preferred qualifications include leadership of a previous data function, management consulting, or strategy work in a large business.
