About the Role
Sidel is seeking a highly skilled Accounting & Tax Manager to join our team in Octeville, France. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the performance and optimization of the accounting & tax activities in your site, ensuring full compliance with international and local accounting & tax standards, as well as Group internal policies, procedures, and corporate governance rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Local accounting activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Group accounting compliance, ensuring adherence to IFRS and other regulatory requirements
- Tax reports, including preparation and submission of tax returns
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
- Treasury and bank activities, including cash forecasting and capital asset management
- Statutory books, including preparation and submission of financial statements
- Group reporting, including preparation and submission of consolidated financial statements
- Take responsibility for balance sheet accounts reconciliation and backup documentation, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, treasury, cash forecasting, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity
- Monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Adhere and ensure compliance with the legal and group accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Set up and monitor accounting KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Regularly produce financial reports or statements, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Perform and oversee annual audits (internal and external audits)
- Meet financial accounting objectives, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and present KPIs to stakeholders, providing recommendations for improvement
- Be responsible for the statutory and tax requirements and reports in agreement with the group policy and tax and accounting regulation
- Be the stakeholders of the internal and external audit partners
- Work with the central teams to develop synergies and ensure proper workflow
- Participate in process simplification, develop automation, Rationalize
- Ensure a smooth and efficient collaboration with the FP&A and Controlling teams for overall finance performance
- Be a change driver of Company/Finance transformation & participate and lead initiatives linked to the company strategy including quality improvement
- Participate in ERP enhancement and maintenance with IT and develop of automation (RPA, etc.) and modern practices
- Attract, develop, and retain a high performing, skilled and motivated team
- Encourage other employees to adhere to standards and quality
- Be a change driver of Company/Finance transformation and lead/participate to transformational projects
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Accounting & Tax Manager with a Master's degree in finance or audit, and a minimum of 10 years of finance management experience in an international environment. You should have a strong background in accounting, tax, and finance, with a proven track record of leadership and people development. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
