Within our Lyon office, your primary responsibility will be to support client relationship managers in their prospecting efforts.

The commercial development aspect is crucial to your role. You will contribute to the growth of the commercial department at Marsh by identifying potential targets (using our CRM or other tools) or targets you have identified independently (media, personal network, social platforms...).

Staying updated on current events is essential in our prospecting activities and client portfolio management. Therefore, you will dedicate daily attention to this to identify potential new opportunities. Through phone outreach, you will actively participate in « prospect » meetings and ensure the follow-up of commercial opportunities alongside a client relationship manager. You may also assist the client relationship manager in managing their client portfolio.

In collaboration with your mentor, your responsibilities will include:

  • After completing foundational training on insurance frameworks (internally), you will autonomously conduct prospecting activities to secure meetings,
  • You will identify targets while maintaining updated information in our CRM tool,
  • You will assist in the preparation of commercial proposals,
  • You will help implement and monitor commercial campaigns,
  • You will accompany the client relationship manager during visits to prospects and track the progress of commercial opportunities,
  • You will support the client relationship manager with certain clients (relationship management, handling requests, preparing renewals...)
  • You will report your activities in commercial meetings.

Requirements:

  • You are entering a Master's program in September at a business school or university with a specialization in business development/commercial
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills, are self-sufficient, and demonstrate initiative; ideally, you have a background in insurance or risk management.
  • Your English proficiency is professional in both written and spoken forms
  • You exhibit strong listening skills, adaptability, and perseverance
  • You have a keen interest in commercial development
  • You are proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
