Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive long tail underwriting strategy for commercial lines, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Lead a team of underwriting professionals to ensure the effective management of long tail risks and the delivery of high-quality underwriting services to our customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including claims, pricing, and reinsurance, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management and underwriting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including underwriting teams, claims teams, and senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and ensure that our underwriting practices and procedures are aligned with best practices.
- Proven experience in underwriting, preferably in a commercial lines environment.
- Strong knowledge of long tail underwriting principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the insurance industry and its trends.
