Cost Management is pivotal in the battery sector, and we are in search of top-tier talent to support our clients effectively.

As we expand our European industrial operations, we are looking for seasoned Cost Consultants to assist in delivering complex, high-value projects.

We are on the lookout for Cost Consultants specializing in the construction of battery manufacturing facilities. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, driving projects towards successful outcomes. Candidates should have experience in significant construction initiatives within the Battery, Semiconductor, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Data Center, or Pharmaceutical sectors. You may focus on either pre-contract cost planning and estimation or post-contract commercial management, bringing your practical expertise and best practices to the forefront while comfortably managing client relationships and challenging stakeholders.

  • Deliver detailed estimates and cost planning, including the preparation and presentation of final cost plans.
  • Capable of estimating at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies and the development of procurement reports.
  • Oversee all procurement aspects, including managing pre-qualification stages, creating bid lists, conducting bid analyses, producing bid reports, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Actively participate in post-contract cost variance assessments and change control processes, escalating significant changes to your line manager when necessary.
  • Manage cost checks and perform valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost assessment and valuation processes.
  • Generate monthly post-contract cost reports and present findings to clients.
  • Provide insights into value engineering; negotiate and finalize accounts.
  • Maintain communication with clients and other consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Offer leadership to the cost management team as needed, ensuring accountability in all deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for new business development with existing clients and report these opportunities to the appropriate line manager, utilizing the marketing database.
  • Suggest enhancements for cost management procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to the relevant line manager.
  • Help drive the industry towards rapid maturity from our market-leading position.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in preparing cost estimates.
  • Background in construction, industrial, battery, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and/or manufacturing sectors. Familiarity with MEP and clean/dry rooms is advantageous.
  • Experience in consulting, contracting, or engineering roles is acceptable.
  • RICS or equivalent accreditation (or working towards it). Membership in a Professional Institute is preferred.
  • Strong technical experience across all cost management areas; pre-contract, post-contract, and final account.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, process, electrical, and plumbing systems as they relate to construction projects.
  • Solid grasp of civil, structural, and architectural aspects related to construction projects.
  • Proven experience leading cost management on medium to large-scale construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including various procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to spend time on construction sites as projects develop.
  • Proficiency in both French and English is required.
