About the Job
General Objective:
The MEAL Manager is responsible for implementing and achieving the objectives defined in the proposals. They oversee the operational teams allocated to their program, ensuring the proper execution and quality of the implemented program. If necessary, they suggest adjustments or developments to ensure its relevance.
Main Challenges:
- The ongoing conflict has led to an increase in SI Sudan's activities and funding.
- There is a high need to improve the quality of data collection and reporting.
- The highly volatile context requires day-to-day security monitoring and cross-border operations.
Priorities for the First 2-3 Months:
- Ensure the quality of data collection and reporting.
- Capacity building of the MEAL team.
- Find a durable way of data reporting despite communication and access challenges.
- Establish a functional feedback and complaints mechanism.
- Participate in reporting and proposal drafting to support the development of the mission.
Your Profile:
Education/Academic Background:
A Master's Degree in Data Management or Project Management is required.
Specific Skills and Experience:
- 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector.
- 3-4 years in a similar position.
- Knowledge of Kobo.
- Experience in implementing Complaints Mechanisms and Accountability.
- Experience in team management and capacity building of the MEAL team.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong initiative and improvisation capacities.
- Adaptability.
Language:
- Fluent English.
- French.
- Arabic is a strong asset.
What We Offer:
A Salaried Position:
According to experience, starting from EUR gross per month (base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD.
SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment.
Breaks:
During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD break allowance, allocated by SI). To these breaks periods, SI grants one additional rest day per month worked.
Insurance Package:
Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.
Living Conditions:
The guest house is simple but nice, with 3 bathrooms and 2 toilets. Electricity backup allows 24/7 electricity. Internet and telephone network are available, but satellite internet is used in the office. 4G mobile network is available, but there are network cuts sometimes. WhatsApp calls are possible, but watching Netflix or YouTube can be challenging.
