Underwriting Assistant Engineer

We are seeking an Underwriting Assistant Engineer to join our team at MSIG Insurance Europe AG in Paris. As an Underwriting Assistant Engineer, you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of existing contracts and issuing new contracts, performing technical analysis for underwriting decisions, and providing underwriting support during all phases of portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities- Handle a portfolio of existing contracts and issue new contracts, including lead and co-insurance business (including international programs).
- Perform preparatory technical analysis for underwriting decisions.
- Provide underwriting support during all phases of portfolio management.
- Check underwriting agreements.
- Validate the wordings of standard contracts negotiated by the underwriter.
- Prepare covernotes and insurance certificates.
- Gather all data necessary for the issuance of contracts and invoices.
- Ensure the quality of the data recorded in the IT systems.
- Bac + 4 or equivalent.
- 3 years minimum experience.
- Good knowledge of the Insurance industry – Interest in the "Engineering" branch requested.
- Customer orientation, commercial and negotiation skills.
- High self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility.
- Good ability for self-organization.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to cooperate and work in a team.
- Solid handling of MS Office applications.
- Very good French and English language skills (business fluent).
