Job Opportunity: Transport Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Manager to join our team at Groupe Pomona. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of drivers and coordinate transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.
  • Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with our sales and customer service teams to ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage transportation budgets and negotiate with vendors to secure the best rates.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our transportation operations are optimized.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in the food distribution industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and laws, including hours of service and safety protocols.
