Groundworker for EV Charging Solutions

Actemium EV is a dedicated business unit focused on EV Charging solutions, with increasing activity in this sector, we are seeking a hard-working Groundworker to work alongside a team leader and another Groundworker to install ducting, kerb lines, concrete bases, etc., in preparation for our electrical team to install the cabling and EV chargers.

As a Groundworker, you will be required to work with your team to ensure projects are completed in-line with the program and to our high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using a CAT4/GENNY4 for cable avoidance.
  • Reading and understanding construction drawings.
  • Operating trench rammers, road saws, handheld breakers, etc.
  • Excavating and reinstating various trenches through different types of soft ground, concrete, tarmac, and block paving.
  • Operating various small tools, including abrasive wheels.
  • Installing twin wall ducting.
  • Installing draw pits.
  • Installing precast concrete bases.
  • Building shuttering and casting complex concrete bases on site.
  • Installing NAL sockets, crash protection/lighting bollards.

Required Qualities & Qualifications:

  • Be punctual and hard working.
  • Be motivated to produce a high standard of work.
  • Able to work away from home during the week when required.
  • A good team player.
  • Eager to learn.
  • CSCS, CPCS/NPORS.
  • Able to understand and make use of construction drawings.
  • Experience working on CDM sites.

Preferred Qualities & Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • NRSWA.
  • 360 excavator ticket.
  • Dumper ticket.
  • HSG47.
