Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Contracts to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for delivering the contracts management plan for our NFW Onshore Project.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, communicate, and implement the Contracts Management process and coordinate the development and stewardship of Contracts Plans for Trains 14 and 15.
- Provide technical, commercial, and functional direction related to all aspects of contracting, including the formulation and administration of ITT packages for EPC Contract.
- Lead the Project Management Team's Contracting activities in issuing ITT, execution of the EPC contract, and coordinates input with Legal and other Major Project Groups/PM functions as required.
- Prepare ITT packages and coordinate the tender process with Supply, integration, and legal.
- Prepare, develop, and manage EPC Contract/Contract documents, including coordination of full Contract scope definition.
- Evaluate EPC contractor's technical bid and make appropriate recommendations to Shareholder with respect to acceptability of Contract terms and conditions.
- Administer the EPC contract, documenting and recording all changes, progress measurements, and payments, management of claims, monitoring of bonds/guarantees, preparation of Contract modifications, and closing out the contract.
- Assist with the review and negotiation of project change requests submitted by EPC Contractor.
- Take the lead in preparing contractual responses to the EPC Contractor.
- Interface with EPC Contractor in resolving Contractual related issues.
- Bachelor degree in Business, Law, or Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry, with exposure in business and risk management, including project controls, cost and schedule development, tender preparation, and contract management.
- 3 years supervising multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams and as Head of Controls for mega projects.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer literacy skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Reports to Business Manager (Project Controls).
- Direct reports: 2-3 Lead of Contracts during EPC.
- Frequent interaction with NFW Onshore Business Manager (Project Controls), NFS Onshore Contracts Division Manager Support, Team Risk Management Head, and team members within the NFS PMT organizations.
- Regular contact with Execution Planning and Services (EP&S), Legal, Supply, Finance, and Shared Services Departments.
- Regular contact with the FEED Contractors, their sub-contractors, and vendors during the execution of the project.
- Understands the key project drivers, defines roles and responsibilities, develops communication protocols, identifies, develops, and implements project procedures for contract management.
- The prime objective of contract management is to improve project performance by anticipating issues, avoiding negative situations, and reducing the frequency of poor outcomes.
- Safety, Health, and Environment: Ensures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health, and Environment and Quality policies, regulations, and standards.
- Company's Program: Contribute to the development of company's employees. This accountability is a condition of employment for expatriate employees.
- Firewall Compliance: Ensure all activities undertaken comply with anti-trust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.
