Role Overview:

As the Sales Director for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding market share in the French EV charging market. Reporting directly to the C-level executive team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and establishing long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in the EV ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion in France.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop strong relationships with key accounts, and maintain a robust sales pipeline of commercial, residential, and public charging projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Partnerships and Alliances: Develop strategic partnerships with automotive manufacturers, property developers, energy companies, municipalities, and other key players in the EV ecosystem.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform product development and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for large-scale contracts, ensuring commercially favorable terms and the successful closure of deals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, marketing, and legal, to ensure alignment on project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Set and manage sales targets, revenue forecasts, and sales budgets, ensuring profitable growth.
  • Regulatory and Policy Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the regulatory landscape in the EV and renewables sectors, ensuring compliance and leveraging opportunities for government incentives.
Key Qualifications:
  • Proven Experience: 7+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably within the EV, renewables, or technology sectors.
  • Track Record of Success: Demonstrated success in scaling sales operations, securing high-value contracts, and growing market share in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the EV charging market, energy solutions, and mobility trends in France and across Europe.
  • Relationship Building: Strong network of contacts within the EV ecosystem, including automotive OEMs, energy companies, real estate developers, and government bodies.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of financial metrics, with the ability to drive profitable growth.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in French and English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
