About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support our EMEA Sales organization, with a focus on France, Spain, and Benelux. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including software licensing and related services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, primarily for software licensing and related services.
  • Collaborate with sales, services, finance, security, compliance, and other business units to ensure effective contract management.
  • Respond promptly to legal requests from internal clients across functional groups, effectively communicating legal concepts to business people.
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard agreements, policies, and processes.
  • Participate in client training and development programs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience negotiating commercial contracts, preferably in an in-house role with a software or technology-oriented company.
  • Relevant experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, including software licenses, professional services, reseller, and partner agreements.
  • Fluency in French, English, and Spanish, with the ability to negotiate in all languages.
  • Strong commercial sensibilities and ability to work closely with business people on their terms.
  • Excellent contract analysis, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to blend in a fine small team of lawyers, ready to lend a hand and be team-oriented.
  • Strategic and pragmatic thinking.
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
