As a key player in financial oversight, you will deliver strategic insights, analysis, and reporting of financial data.
Core Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and interpret intricate monthly financial outcomes to pinpoint issues for leadership; offer insights and suggest potential adjustments
• Examine weekly and monthly financial patterns (e.g., expenses, benefits) alongside business leaders to refine quarterly forecasts and budgets, providing constructive feedback
• Derive conclusions from financial trend analyses, consolidate information, and potentially develop presentations for executive review
• Assess system functionalities and process efficiencies, recommending enhancements and upgrades
• Prepare and execute month-end journal entries; conduct balance sheet account reconciliations; gather data and generate reports to support trend evaluations
• Collaborate with business units to oversee complex and high-volume SGP percentages at both product and customer levels
• Prepare, submit, and manage annual tax declarations (e.g., VAT, income, sales, and local taxes)
• Address complex inquiries and resolve issues from tax consultants and fiscal authorities, managing audit requests
• Implement processes, standard operating procedures, and adaptations to new and country-specific regulations
• Ensure timely month-end closures, including statutory annual reports
• Participate in or lead process enhancement initiatives
• Mentor, coach, and provide constructive feedback to junior team members
• Ensure compliance by applying knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to formulate explanations for internal and external auditors
• Additional duties may include partnering with leaders to advise on the financial implications of recent or proposed process changes
Qualifications and Experience:
Additional Competencies:
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel, and familiarity with financial systems; ERP experience (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, including consultative and relationship management abilities
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and investigative skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines pertinent to accounting
• Solid understanding of cost accounting methodologies
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
• In-depth understanding of financial concepts and principles
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Capability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Proficiency in managing competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
