At Vertiv, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that keep critical technologies running 24/7. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and training to customers and sales teams for our thermal products and solutions.

As an Application Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing technically and price-competitive applications for our thermal products to meet customer requirements. You will work closely with consultants to understand their needs and collaborate on effective solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of Application Engineers to ensure they meet their targets and work in accordance with all policies and regulations.
  • Contributing to marketing and business development efforts by providing input for whitepapers, social media, and other marketing materials.
  • Ensuring the prioritization of activities in partnership with various stakeholders.
  • Reviewing RFQs and identifying customer requirements and specifications.
  • Providing sales and pre-sales support with technical expertise on product specifications and applications.
  • Attending customer meetings with Sales managers as a technical expert.
  • Creating product and application presentations for customers and consultants.
  • Visiting consultants regularly to own relationships and collaborate on effective solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A strong engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience.
  • Extensive experience in LOB products and installation, especially in data centers or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in adjacent markets and similar positions.
  • Fluent English written and verbal skills, with a second language a plus.
  • Experience in quoting, proposing, installing, and managing projects.
  • Proficiency in using C1 and Oracle Sales Cloud.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD systems.
  • A high focus on customer needs.
