Mechanical Design Engineer to Senior Design Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to Senior Design Engineer to join our team at Verkor, a pioneering French industrial company in low-carbon battery manufacturing. As a key member of our international team, you will play a crucial role in driving the design of mechanical parts and their integration with product and process design.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the design process from concept to D sample, collaborating with stakeholders to validate and review designs at each stage.
- Act as a mentor to fellow mechanical cell design engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
- Plan, direct, and follow up on project-related testing and industrialization activities, ensuring seamless execution.
- Identify and meet special customer requirements related to mechanical design, delivering tailored solutions.
- Lead design reviews, both internal and external, focusing on mechanical and cell structural analysis.
- Ensure the integration of product design with process design, driving innovation and design for manufacturing projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or a related engineering field.
- At least 6+ years of experience in module, electronics, or sheet metal industry, or 4+ years in li-ion battery design.
- Proven design experience in relevant cell formats.
- A stimulating work environment with pleasant offices, a multicultural and motivated team.
- 5 weeks of holidays per year, plus 2 weeks of compensation time (RTT), subject to contract conditions.
- All positions are open to individuals with a Recognition of the Status of Disabled Worker (RQTH), with conditions applying depending on the type of contract.
