Role Overview
As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will take the lead in managing the technical aspects of various equipment packages, including Process Gas Compressors, Turbo-Generators, pumps for Process fluids or utilities, Emergency Diesel Generators, and Turbo Expanders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing technical specifications and requisitions for inquiries and purchases,
- Conducting technical evaluations of vendor bids,
- Overseeing vendor technical follow-ups,
- Reviewing and providing feedback on vendor drawings for key equipment packages,
- Participating in equipment performance testing at vendor facilities.
You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Installation, Process, Electricity, and Instrumentation, as well as Purchasing, Expediting, and Inspection teams. This collaboration is essential for centralizing requests, clarifying requirements, analyzing supplier deviations, and resolving technical challenges.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in equipment management within the oil & gas or industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a decision-making mindset, all of which are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, adaptability and the ability to engage with diverse project stakeholders across various cultures are essential.
Proficiency in English is required, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally is expected. Familiarity with API Codes & Standards related to rotating machinery is an added advantage.
