Role Overview
As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will take the lead in managing various technical aspects related to equipment such as Process Gas Compressors, Turbo-Generators, pumps for Process fluids or utilities, Emergency Diesel Generators, and Turbo Expanders.
Within the equipment department of our onshore-offshore engineering division, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing technical specifications and requisitions for inquiries and purchases,
- Conducting technical evaluations of vendor proposals,
- Overseeing vendor technical follow-ups,
- Reviewing and providing feedback on vendor drawings for key equipment packages,
- Participating in equipment performance testing at vendor facilities.
You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Installation, Process, Electricity, and Instrumentation, as well as Purchasing, Expediting, and Inspection teams. This collaboration will be essential for centralizing requests, clarifying requirements, analyzing supplier deviations, and resolving technical challenges.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a graduate Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in equipment management within the oil & gas or industrial sectors.
Key attributes for success in this role include strong organizational skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and a results-oriented mindset. You should be adaptable and capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders across various projects and cultures.
Proficiency in English is required, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally is essential. Familiarity with API Codes & Standards relevant to rotating machinery will be advantageous.
