As a member of the Group Chief Underwriting Office, you will take on the role of Pricing Strategy Manager.
Context & Key Challenges
The newly established Global Chief Underwriting Office is tasked with driving profitability and growth through strategic product underwriting, portfolio design, and technical underwriting excellence in collaboration with AXA entities across both Commercial and Retail sectors. Key focus areas include:
- Steering portfolio design
- Developing underwriting product strategies and measuring profitability
- Providing technical underwriting guidance
- Creating pricing models, platforms, and analytics
- Implementing risk appetite strategies
- Designing and purchasing ceded reinsurance strategies
In this role, you will be a vital contributor to the Group Pricing Team, working closely with underwriting, entities, and pricing management to achieve our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the Technical Excellence Plan by executing an enterprise pricing model strategy that effectively integrates data, analytics, and technology.
- Assist in the development of a pricing platform, creating scalable pricing models that allow for real-time updates in response to changing market conditions.
- Promote global pricing tool utilization by sharing best practices, developing user guides, and maintaining a central model database.
- Support the Technical Development Office (TDO) strategy regarding technical pricing and the establishment of pricing platforms and methodologies.
- Leverage TDO capabilities and infrastructure while ensuring clear communication between TDO and Pricing.
- Research innovative modeling and pricing methodologies to enhance model performance.
- Collaborate with underwriting and pricing teams to address complex model challenges and educate stakeholders on model usage.
- Design a consistent data capture strategy to facilitate the use of data for strategic initiatives such as portfolio studies and pricing refinement.
- Build a robust network of relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive global improvements in technical pricing models and ensure consistency in approach.

- Fully Certified Actuary.
- Extensive experience in developing pricing and analytical models within an AXA entity or similar organization.
- Ability to support data, technology, pricing model, and analytics strategies directly.

- Proven track record in driving change and fostering relationships.
- Experience leading multicultural and geographically diverse teams.
