Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Renaissance Fusion. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and simulating new products, parts, and equipment, as well as supervising their manufacture to support the construction and integration of our stellarator.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and size mechanical solutions to meet required specifications for custom-made parts, taking into account manufacturing constraints and operating environment.
- Conceive innovative designs and create detailed 3D CAD models.
- Coordinate with team members to integrate input and output data, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, thermal, chemical, nuclear, material, and vacuum perspectives.
- Perform stack-up analyses and create and update definition data, including bill of materials and technical notes.
- Carry out multi-physics numerical simulations of 3D CAD models, updating and maintaining simulation results in coordination with design files.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in machine design and/or FEM simulations of complex systems and manufacturing.
- Fluent in English (C1) and knowledge of French (B1 or higher) is a plus.
- CAD design software proficiency, including SolidWorks and Inventor.
- Knowledge of numerical modeling and FEM software, such as ANSYS and COMSOL Multiphysics.
