As the Environmental Strategy Manager at FM Logistic, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's sustainability initiatives across all operational territories. Your primary focus will be on climate action, circular economy practices, and regeneration projects, while ensuring adherence to CSRD regulations. Reporting directly to the Director of Sustainable Development, your leadership will be essential in steering FM Logistic towards a more sustainable supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieving Carbon Neutrality for Scope 1 and 2:
- Establishing clear objectives and a strategic roadmap in alignment with SBTI guidelines.
- Collaborating with the Sustainable Construction team to integrate energy-efficient and environmentally friendly practices in warehouse designs.
- Overseeing the rollout of Energy Efficiency initiatives across various regions, in partnership with Maintenance, QHSE, and Operations teams.
- Assisting Procurement teams in energy sourcing to fulfill the goal of 100% renewable electricity by the end of 2024.
Reducing Scope 3 Emissions by 30%:
- Partnering with leaders in sustainable transportation to identify and implement decarbonization strategies for logistics activities.
- Creating and managing waste reduction initiatives, supporting Maintenance, QHSE, and Operations teams.
- Implementing innovative circular economy solutions.
Ensuring CSRD Compliance and Reporting:
- Leading the development of a sustainable roadmap to facilitate the publication of FM Logistic's inaugural CSRD report.
- Supervising the ESG Data Analyst to guarantee accurate ESG reporting and maintaining comprehensive ESG dashboards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the logistics or consulting sectors is preferred.
- A degree in business or engineering.
- Strong project management capabilities; proficiency in Google Suite or equivalent Microsoft tools.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
- This position allows for a hybrid work model with remote work options.
