Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to become part of the Legal Division at Natixis, specifically within the General Secretariat, as a junior financial legal advisor. This role is under the guidance of the Lead Counsel and involves the creation and management of regulatory and contractual documentation pertinent to UCITS, AIFs (Alternative Investment Funds), and management mandates, ensuring the legal integrity of Natixis and safeguarding the interests of our clients.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, amending, overseeing, and finalizing UCIs (UCITS, AIFs) along with French and international management mandates, which encompasses drafting KIID, prospectuses, and regulations, as well as collaborating with product and management specialists to formulate investment policies;
  • Engaging in the formulation and negotiation of contracts associated with these investments, including management agreements, advisory contracts, and financial management delegations, while also maintaining updates with primary suppliers such as custodians and auditors;
  • Assisting business units in responding to tenders;
  • Collaborating with various departments within Natixis, regulatory bodies, custodians, valuers, auditors, and international legal teams;
  • Coordinating with the Public Affairs team to stay informed on regulatory changes affecting third-party asset management, whether discretionary or collective;
  • Contributing to the education and training of internal teams on legal and regulatory matters related to UCIs and management mandates.

As a financial legal advisor, you will work closely with all sectors of Natixis, particularly with Management, Development, Risk, Compliance, and Permanent Controls departments, as well as external law firms when necessary.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

You possess a higher education degree and have at least 2 years of experience in legal roles within a management company.

You are knowledgeable about:

• The regulations governing UCITS and AIFs;

• The fundamental regulations of third-party financial management.

You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and active listening abilities, and you are:

• Engaged, organized, meticulous, pragmatic, analytical, and solution-oriented;

• Capable of working autonomously while managing multiple projects simultaneously and collaborating effectively with internal teams at Natixis;

• Recognized for your negotiation and writing skills.

Proficiency in English at a C2 level is required.
