Job Description:

Electrical Systems Specialist

As a key member of the ATR Engineering Directorate, you will be responsible for the development and integration of electrical systems on the ATR42 and ATR72 programs. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical systems modifications and projects, ensuring compliance with applicable technical design directives and certification rules.
  • Conduct electrical systems simulation and modeling to optimize system performance.
  • Monitor technology and regulation trends, participating in research programs to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Specify, develop, and integrate electrical systems and equipment, ensuring seamless integration with other aircraft systems.
  • Release specifications and statements of work, participate in supplier selection, and monitor the development and adjustment of electrical systems.
  • Develop certification programs and means of compliance documents required for certification.
  • Verify ATR and vendor service bulletins, ensuring electrical systems meet the highest standards.
  • Support the production line during flight tests and delivery, troubleshooting and resolving electrical system issues.
  • Manage technical relations with suppliers, including LEONARDO and AIRBUS, to ensure smooth collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide flight authorization outside approved definitions, drafting airline information documents as needed.
  • Analyze in-service occurrences, evaluating the need for reporting and providing expertise on defective parts.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree from a reputable institution, preferably in aeronautical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in electrical systems development and integration, with a strong understanding of aircraft regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
