Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Advancement Services plays a critical role in planning, directing, and managing initiatives in the KCTCS Advancement Office to support fundraising efforts for the KCTCS System Office and local colleges. This position is responsible for managing relationships with colleges, identifying needs, and developing strategies to address them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with Advancement staff at KCTCS colleges, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Organize peer team meetings, maintain departmental SharePoint pages, and create templates and guides to support college needs.
  • Coordinate peer team agendas, develop professional development opportunities, and provide onboarding for new Advancement staff.
  • Oversee scholarship administration, gift entry support, and online giving platform development.
  • Lead the annual KCTCS Giving Day fundraising campaign and oversee administration of scholarships funded by the KCTCS Foundation.
  • Work across multiple departments to develop templates and processes, facilitating exchange of best practices using SharePoint.
  • Update procedures and support daily operations of the Advancement Office, ensuring separation of duties and responsibility for Foundation bank deposits.
  • Conduct research on prospects, board members, and donors, as well as major gift stewardship.
  • Develop system-wide philanthropic strategies, including leading the implementation and marketing of annual KCTCS Giving Day.
  • Oversee scholarship management, alumni engagement, and online giving.
  • Responsible for prospect research and donor stewardship system-wide.
  • Develop office procedures and assist in daily office operations, including KCTCS Foundation gift deposits and gift entry as needed.
  • Serve as deputy to AVP of Philanthropy and represent the unit as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, or related field and five years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, or related field and seven years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • CFRE preferred but not required.
  • Experience in fundraising, team leadership, and donor engagement.
