Job Summary

The Associate Director of Advancement Services is a key member of the KCTCS Advancement team, responsible for planning, directing, and managing initiatives that support fundraising efforts for the KCTCS System Office and local colleges. This role involves building relationships with colleges, identifying needs, and developing strategies to address them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with Advancement staff at KCTCS colleges, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Organize peer team meetings and maintain a departmental SharePoint page to facilitate the exchange of best practices.
  • Create templates, FAQ guides, and other tools to address college needs and support Advancement staff.
  • Coordinate peer team agendas, create professional development opportunities, and provide onboarding for new Advancement staff.
  • Oversee scholarship administration, cross-train to perform gift entry support as needed, and implement and maintain a platform to develop alumni engagement and manage online giving.
  • Lead the annual "KCTCS Giving Day" fundraising campaign and oversee the administration of scholarships funded by the KCTCS Foundation.
  • Work across multiple departments to develop templates and processes, facilitate the exchange of best practices using SharePoint, and update procedures to support daily operations.
  • Assist in the operation of gift processes for the KCTCS Foundation, Inc., ensuring separation of duties, including responsibility for Foundation bank deposits.
  • Conduct research on prospects, board members, and donors, as well as major gift stewardship.
  • Develop system-wide philanthropic strategies, such as leading the implementation and marketing of annual KCTCS Giving Day.
  • Oversee scholarship management, alumni engagement, and online giving, and be responsible for prospect research and donor stewardship system-wide.
  • Develop office procedures and assist in daily office operations, responsible for KCTCS Foundation gift deposits and gift entry as needed.
  • Serve as deputy to the AVP of Philanthropy and represent the unit as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, or related field and five years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, or related field and seven years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • CFRE preferred but not required.
  • Experience in fundraising, team leadership, and donor engagement.
