Job Summary

We are seeking a Corporate Category Lead Buyer to join our procurement team in Rueil-Malmaison. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portion of our indirect categories, working closely with operational teams, and optimizing expenses in line with our company's purchasing policy and rules. This includes conducting transversal purchases for assigned segments, collaborating with commercial divisions and other business partners, and applying our purchasing policy and related rules in assigned activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement our purchasing policy and integrate a purchasing culture within the group.
  • Search for competent, performing, and sustainable suppliers through a strategic approach and optimize procurement through supplier panel audits.
  • Negotiate purchase contracts at the appropriate level to ensure internal clients receive the necessary products and services at the best global cost, with the required quality and delivery conditions.
  • Ensure the proper execution of negotiated contractual conditions (purchase requirements, etc.) in collaboration with concerned services and in compliance with the group's QHSE system.
  • Contribute to improving the quality of products and services provided by suppliers, including clarifying needs during necessary working meetings and promoting the development of functional specifications in close collaboration with internal clients.
  • Update necessary purchasing data in the company's information system, in coordination with various group sites, commercial divisions, business partners, and with the help of the purchasing methods and tools manager when necessary.
  • Manage categories under your responsibility globally, in collaboration with commercial divisions and other business partners.
  • Contribute to the global development of purchasing expertise within the company and strengthen the 'purchasing network' through procedures, methods, tools, and indicators necessary for the function.
  • Participate in developing communication with all services to facilitate the integration of purchasing projects within the group.
  • Follow and study market trends and best practices for purchasing categories using appropriate methods (benchmarking, etc.).
  • Occasionally assist the group's purchasing director in their missions.

Requirements

  • You must have at least 5 years of experience in the function and a solid understanding of indirect expenses-related issues.
  • You must also have a degree in purchasing (DESMA or MAI preferred), Master 2 in Purchasing, or equivalent from a business school.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in a second language is an asset.
  • You must also have a good knowledge of office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as ERP systems like SAP, and e-procurement tools.
