Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious expert in Sea Freight Operations to support our clients growth and expansion into the European market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our sea freight operations, ensuring the highest level of service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sea freight logistics strategy for the European market, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sea freight operations, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, documentation, and shipment tracking.
  • Lead and motivate a team of sea freight professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and other service providers.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key clients, understanding their unique requirements and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of sea freight operations.

Requirements

  • A solution-driven and value-focused mindset.
  • A general understanding of the freight forwarding landscape, with experience and knowledge in sea freight business operations a plus.
  • Good written communication skills in French and English Language, and attention to detail.
  • A working knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in handling MS office tools.
  • An enthusiastic learner in a fast-paced working environment, with the ability to handle pressure with ease.
  • Confident presentation skills, with a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Analytical skills and a structured approach.
  • Independent and able to steer and make logical decisions.
  • Team spirit.
