Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Lead to join our team. As a Housekeeping Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department, ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the daily cleaning schedules for our housekeeping team
  • Support and lead the onboarding and training of new housekeeping staff
  • Organize and prepare supplies for daily distribution, ensuring inventory control and organization
  • Triage and delegate guest requests in real-time to housekeeping schedules
  • Perform standard housekeeping duties as needed, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and bedrooms, changing linen and terry, polishing surfaces, removing trash/recycling, restocking soaps, shampoos, and other amenities
  • Conduct special projects as assigned
  • Initiate and manage reporting of any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to Sonder property
  • Manage various digital programs, including online housekeeping scheduler, housekeeping mobile app, and internal reporting and communication platforms
  • Daily travel around market and central warehouse to complete tasks and manage cleaning program
Requirements
  • A professional with a positive attitude, able to work effectively in a leadership position and independently
  • Previous experience in a leadership role with a housekeeping department or similar operation, with a focus on personnel management, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Technical proficiency with various digital applications, including mobile devices and digital communication platforms
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods, as well as cleaning sensitive materials
  • Working knowledge of operating household cleaning equipment and best practices
  • Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 40 lbs)
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between properties on a daily basis
