The American University of Paris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a Lead IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to staff, faculty, and students, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-line technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving issues with desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Manage and maintain our IT support management tool, ensuring accurate and timely issue tracking and resolution.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve complex technical issues and provide expert-level support.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of standard client computing processes and procedures.
- Train and orient staff on the use of hardware, software, and office collaboration tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- 3-5 years of experience providing technical support services.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of computer hardware, software, local area networks, and peripheral equipment.
- Working knowledge of operating systems, with emphasis on Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Self-motivated, autonomous, hardworking, good analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry hardware and supplies, weighing up to 20 Kilos.
- Fluency in both English and French, with valid working papers for the EU.
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and/or move heavy materials between campus buildings.
