Strategic Manufacturing Project Leader

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify strategic products within manufacturing plants;
- Assist in formulating alternative and contingency solutions to guarantee business continuity in the event of unforeseen circumstances;
- Enhance plant profitability by internalizing lens production within our manufacturing facilities rather than outsourcing.
Business Continuity Planning Management:
- Based on mid-term planning, assurance recommendations, and identified local risks, establish strategic products for the group concerning both product and plant, along with an action plan to mitigate risks.
- Engage and contribute to the Critical Raw Material & Consumables (CRMC) meetings;
- Lead working groups (including GLI, Sourcing, EHS, Procurement) to evaluate risks and pinpoint critical factors for manufacturing in Rx labs and manufacturing plants.
- Assess the business impact of critical raw material components.
- Propose solutions to maintain business continuity in the face of potential disruptions.
Development of Make or Buy Strategies:
- Analyze external purchases to identify potential insourcing opportunities.
- Monitor insourcing initiatives in collaboration with regional leaders.
- Coordinate product development or insourcing efforts with group entities.
- Formulate make or buy strategies to expedite insourcing actions.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in industrial engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in functional management within an international context.
- Comprehensive understanding of EssilorLuxottica's product and service offerings.
- Highly motivated with a positive outlook, energy, and leadership qualities.
- Adept in a diverse and multicultural work environment, with a focus on building networks.
- Possessing strong leadership abilities, capable of influencing others, with a results-oriented mindset; analytical, rigorous, and structured, complemented by excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel at an expert level.
- Fluent in English.
