Job Summary:
ECM (Direction Sud) is seeking a highly skilled Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer to join their team in Toulouse. As a key member of the aerostructures project team, you will be responsible for participating in fatigue dimensioning, conducting damage tolerance studies, analyzing metallic and composite structures, updating finite element models, performing pre-dimensioning calculations, and certifying programs for various aerospace companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in fatigue dimensioning and damage tolerance studies for aerostructures projects
- Analyze metallic and composite structures to ensure structural integrity
- Update finite element models to reflect changes in design or material properties
- Perform pre-dimensioning calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Certify programs for aerospace companies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fatigue and damage tolerance calculations for aeronautical structures
- Knowledge of fracture mechanics, material fatigue, and crack propagation laws
- Proficiency in tools like SAFE, ISAMI, NASGRO, AFGROW, PATRAN / NASTRAN, HYPERMESH, ABAQUS
- Experience with certification processes for aerospace programs
