Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Capital Project Procurement Manager to oversee all aspects of procurement for capital projects within KCTCS. This role will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures while managing a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the procurement process for capital projects, including the development and execution of solicitations, evaluation of proposals, and contract negotiation.
- Supervise and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including college administrators, faculty, and staff, to understand project requirements and develop effective procurement strategies.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes related to public procurement.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with KCTCS guidelines and applicable laws.
- Conduct training programs for staff on capital project procurement processes and regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between KCTCS and external vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
- Six years of relevant experience in capital project procurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or Professional License in Public Procurement (e.g., CPPB, CPPO).
- Ten years of relevant experience in capital project procurement.
