About the Role

As the French manager of the Technical Compliance group function, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet all relevant technical standards and regulations. You'll be responsible for implementing and overseeing our global technical compliance management system (TCMS) within France, continuously improving its effectiveness, and coordinating local resolutions to technical compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Compliance Strategy: Develop and execute a localized strategic agenda for technical compliance in alignment with the global Technical Compliance Manager.
  • TCMS Implementation & Monitoring: Establish and maintain an effective TCMS in collaboration with various divisions, business units, factories, and group functions within France. Regularly monitor the system's performance, identify potential risks, and provide comprehensive reports to the global Technical Compliance Manager.
  • External Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as regulators, auditors, suppliers, and testing institutes. Effectively manage inquiries and investigations related to technical compliance.
  • Governance & Improvement: Review local audit reports focusing on technical compliance aspects. Monitor the effectiveness of first-line defense measures and advocate for necessary improvements to the TCMS.
  • Training & Culture: Foster a culture of technical compliance within France by designing and implementing country-specific training programs, tools, and initiatives. Provide guidance and support to employees at all levels on technical compliance matters.
  • Monitoring & Collaboration: Continuously monitor relevant technical compliance processes and measures, including resolutions, legal technical regulations, and training effectiveness. Collaborate closely with clients, sales teams, and project managers to ensure product compliance throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Proven strategic planning skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective technical compliance strategies.
  • Strong procedural expertise, capable of understanding complex technical aspects (products, functions, processes, legal requirements, etc.) and making informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on fostering a culture of technical compliance within the French team.

Required Languages: English, German

Required Education: Master's degree or equivalent in engineering/science (with relevant specialization/experience in highly technical environments). Preferably, additional studies in economics or law/MBA.

Required Work Experience: Over 3 years of experience in the development field. Proven project management skills with experience working in multidisciplinary teams across various hierarchical levels. Solid understanding of automotive regulations and standards, such as EN, ISO, IEC.
