Position Overview - Senior Advisor, Learning and Knowledge Development

The mission of the Ops & Tech Learning and Knowledge Development team is to enhance the experience of our teams as they engage with both existing and new processes and systems. This is achieved through the use of innovative technology, reimagining knowledge deliverables, and fostering a collaborative relationship with the business user community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with user communities across various functions and regions to identify training requirements and challenges.
  • Convert needs assessments into actionable enablement strategies and coordinate with fellow Advisors on similar objectives.
  • Work closely with Training & Knowledge Development Specialists globally to standardize and synchronize current training offerings and reference tools.
  • Design and conduct training sessions for core insurance systems and processes, utilizing advanced learning methodologies in both virtual and in-person formats.
  • Serve as a resource for complex user inquiries regarding existing and forthcoming systems.
  • Assist team members by leveraging expertise in current systems and processes, as well as upcoming systems aligned with the strategic roadmap.
  • Facilitate the transition to new reference materials (manuals, presentations, eLearning resources, etc.) as outlined in the K&E 2026 strategy, while also maintaining existing reference tools as necessary.
  • Actively participate in the transformation of Training & Knowledge Development, including the rollout of new digital capabilities through project engagement and deliverable coordination.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall strategy, needs assessment, educational design, and effective execution.
  • Support the Head of Ops & Tech Learning and Knowledge Development with various tasks in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as a business trainer or in a related field, focusing on instructional design and effective training delivery.
  • Strong understanding of insurance underwriting and operational processes, with prior experience in the insurance sector.
  • Proficient technical skills and experience in utilizing new technological advancements in e-learning and mobile training.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance market, including various lines of business and operational procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness to effectively manage diverse and remote teams.
