About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at Datadog. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise to our sales team and customers, ensuring successful sales presentations, product demos, and technical evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to deliver compelling technical presentations and product demos to customers
  • Lead technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience
  • Communicate the value of Datadog's platform to customers, highlighting its capabilities and benefits
  • Close complex opportunities through technical credibility and competitive knowledge
  • Maintain accurate notes in CRM regarding customer input and feedback
Requirements
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, observability, and software development
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or a related field
  • Ability to travel up to 45% of the time, with occasional overnight stays
