Preowned Jewellery Specialist

Catawiki is seeking an experienced Jewellery expert to join our team of specialists in Pre-Owned & Brand Jewellery auctions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating attractive auctions by evaluating and arranging lots submitted by our users.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Evaluate and arrange lots submitted by users to create attractive auctions.
- Use your specialist knowledge to review lot titles, descriptions, and pictures, and provide users with an estimated and realistic value based on this information.
- Work with our sales department to recruit and develop new sellers and diversify the selection of lots offered in your auctions.
- Collaborate with our marketing department to generate attention for your auctions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Gemmology Diploma from a recognized institution.
- 3-8 years of experience in the jewellery or diamonds trade, with knowledge of the manufacturing process, quality control, or gemological testing.
- Experience in appraising and assessing Jewellery (branded and non-branded) with an understanding of the various layers needed when curating a lot online.
- Good grasp of market prices and extensive trade knowledge with a network of potential sellers and experts in your field.
- Documented commercial or customer-facing experience.
- Good computer skills and excellent communicative skills.
- Fluent English language skills, with French as a plus.
