We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Senior Technician to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) group, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.
Responsibilities- Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify the cause of issues and ensure quality execution as defined by organizational standards.
- Delegate hardware installation, deployment, and/or replacement work to technicians while providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Train and mentor technicians through on-the-job training and direct guidance on specific tasks, and maintain an awareness of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through dashboards and/or monthly performance discussions.
- Embody our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, with experience in supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in computer science or other field, experience working in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment, and applicable certifications.
