As a Research Engineer in By-Products, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for the recycling and valorization of by-products, minimizing CO2 emissions, and waste management.
Your Responsibilities:- Identify challenges and blocking points for the valorization of new by-products
- Propose and develop innovative solutions for their full use inside (or outside) the ArcelorMittal group
- Validate solutions at lab or industrial scale (build equipment, run tests and industrial trials, analyze results)
- Participate in the R&D development strategy with R&D stakeholders (Portfolio, sales teams, CTO, etc.)
- Participate in transversal activities in safety, environment, and quality management
- Hold a Master's degree or a PhD specialized in the field of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Hydrometallurgy, Electrochemistry, Pyrometallurgy, or By-products treatment and valorization
- Previous experience in R&D applied to an industrial context is an asset
- Fluent in French and English
- Skills in laboratory, pilot experimental tools use and development, and simulation
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Team player with the ability to network and interact with R&D and plant personnel
- Results-oriented and able to propose new solutions
- Compliance with health and safety rules
